second snow
Last night we had our second snowfall of the winter season. It came through the night and had stopped falling by morning time, and looked oh so pretty once the sun came out. It sparkled and was so pretty until the heat of the sun started warming it and melting it. It's nearly gone now, but apparently there's more forecasted for later in the week.

posters?
There was a time, not to long ago, when I swore I'd never allow a poster to be put up on any walls. They're tacky, and tasteless and I despise the mess the thumb tacks make of the walls. But Hailey had this way of tricking me into it. First it started with the little Twilight gift cards she just HAD to keep once spent .. but her solution to my no thumb tack rule was to use double sided tape (something I had an abundance of in my scrapbooking stash).
Then came one little poster, and then suddenly it's grown to however many she has up now. They're all magazine posters/pages and I'm sure she'd have a lot more up there if I let her spend her money frivolously on just any magazine, but this is what she has for now. She loves Selena Gomez, the Twilight Series, Taylor Swift and the Harry Potter series.

january 1st
Happy New Year from our home to yours! We celebrated the evening by having a Facts of Life season 5 marathon and then later watching the last few minutes of the countdown at the Seattle Needle. The fireworks were amazing .. something that would be quite the experience to see with the naked eye. We had our Terry's chocolate orange, lots of appies and snacks, eggnog and partied up the night in our girlie quiet style. Lots of fun!
