thankful thursday

Once upon a long time ago, I used to do this thing called 'thankful thursday' and today .. I'd like to point out one thing I'm thankful for in and amongst the craziness that has become my life.

I am thankful for the warm, caressing fall sun. It has shone this entire week and made things seem more manageable, cheery, enjoyable and even breathtaking. Watching as the cool breeze spins the leaves out of control in the low gleaming rays of the afternoon sun, hearing my children's laughter and screams as they enjoy the last bit of the warmth as they play, climb, swing and slide at the playground, the need to wear sunglasses, shedding jackets .. the sun has been welcomed and enjoyed this week. I can't wait to play in the fallen leaves sometime this weekend, and hope the sun lasts long enough that we can enjoy its warmth just that much more.

Remember Thankful Thursdays? I've slacked off, so back in the saddle again for me.

today I'm thankful for ...
1. good mindless TV
2. a very supportive and grounding husband
3. electricity, and what it does for my family
4. good friends I can commiserate with
5. coffee

And on another note, and one I must mention somewhere because I thought it was to cute. And I'm one of those Moms that like to keep some of what her children say documented so that I can remember it later when the grey hair has finally zapped the last of my brain cells, and I've lost my memory.

This morning it was mentioned by a certain 6 yr old (coughalissacough) during the morning bathroom routine, that you know you're poo'ing when your face turns red. Hey, who am I to correct such innocence. I just giggled.
